USPS retiring older versions of their Rate API in May 2011
In May of 2011 the USPS, United States Postal Service, will be retiring older versions of their rate API. This means that if you are using any USPS rate features in PDshop, you will need to download and install an update or upgrade to a version that supports their RateV4 and IntlRateV2 APIs.
How does this affect my website?
If you are not using USPS real-time rates with PDshop, no action is required. If you are using USPS real-time rates, you will need to make sure your copy of PDshop (or the USPS Add-On) is up to date.
--PDshop (Version 8) Users--:
Download and install the latest update of Version 8, 8.213 and higher supports the new USPS API.
--PDshop .Net Professional (Version 9) Users--:
Download and install the latest update of Version 9, 9.003 and higher supports the new USPS API.
--PDshop Classic ASP (Version 5 or earlier) Users--:
You will need to upgrade to one our .Net editions.
--NOTES--:
If you are using a version of PDshop not listed above, we recommend upgrading to a more recent version of PDshop. Only the versions shows above currently support USPS's new API. If you are using a customized version of PDshop, consult with your developer or programmer before installing an update or upgrading.
