How to fix the "ODBC Drivers error - Too many client tasks" message
Sample Error
You may receive a message like "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" error '80040e4d'
Or "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many client tasks".
../includes/functions.asp, line 22
Or "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many client tasks".
../includes/functions.asp, line 22
Solution or Workaround
This is a sign of an overloaded web server, likely there is too much traffic on that server and the ODBC drivers cannot process the requests. If you need help with this feel free to contact our Support Team.
If the traffic is directly due to your site, than you need to use the MSSQL server database and not MSAccess. If you don't have much traffic on your site yet, than someone else on your server has maxed out the "Jet Drivers" for MSAccess. A server reboot will clear up this problem, but if the traffic continues than it will reoccur.
Also, you could try to use a different database connections string or a DSN.
And again, feel free to Contact Us we are always ready to assist (even if you are not using any of our products)
