Browser freezes (or nothing happens) when downloading a 'Digital Item'.
There are a few notable reasons the Digital Download functions may fail. The first and most common problem is related to your web browser settings or security Add-Ons (such as Privacy software, Pop-Up blockers, and Firewalls). Some 3rd party browser software is designed to prevent/block the download functions. You should disable this software or adjust your browser settings before troubleshooting the digital downloads functions in PDshop.
Another common problem is related to your web server & it's resources. The default download method is 'ADODB.Stream' (see the General setup page in PDAdmin). Due to server restrictions or resource issues, your server may not be able to stream large files. By design the Windows IIS web service can limit Streaming Downloads to smaller files. A possible solution (workaround) to server hangs is to switch download methods, use the 'Physical Location' method. Or, you may want to contact your web host and request that they increase your 'ASPBufferingLimit'.
