How to resolve the "Internal Server Error 500" message when sending email using a Classic ASP script
If you recently began experiencing Internal Server Errors, 500 errors, when sending email using a Classic ASP script in PDshop, you may need to upgrade to ASP.NET.
Chances are your web host or server Admin has changed or uninstalled an older classic Asp components. It could also be that your host changed something with your SMTP server, but you would need to contact your web host directly to confirm.
But more importantly, unfortunately these days classic Asp is considered almost obsolete, so some web hosts might stop supporting all the components, and more things might stop working as server software gets updated, etc.
For many other reasons too, like PCI compliance and security, We recommend upgrading to a one of our newer versions of PDshop.
